Planting a seed!?

In 'A Bugs life' the main ant character uses a rock as a tool to explain how a seed turns into a three. "Pretend this is a seed", "but it's a rock!?", "Well, pretend it's a seed.."

In London a hospital uses a polished rock to enhance its "welcoming and reassuring environment". They paid £70,000 for it!

There's a lot of money in rock polishing.

Hmmm, they spend THAT much on a rock and they can't even afford to keep 'some' hospitals open.. it makes you wonder..

nice link!

in the article it says: "They [art objects] help to reduce violence on patients' wards. It makes people feel calmer and more relaxed."

Is there a violence-problem in UK hospitals? Wow!

Well, if you ever come to Cologne, Germany, visit the incredibly ugly University building. No books in the libraries but a huge, ugly rock in front of the building that is supposed to be art.
