Horses
Enjoying cafe life in Belgium, our son would spot horse drawn carriages with tourists passing by on the cobbled roads. He usually heard them before he spotted them due to the noice their hoves would make on the cobbles.
"A horse is coming mommy!", he exclaimed exitedly, immediately followed by a disaapointed face, "That's just a suitcase".
In the old days people would let horses pull their luggage, but then the automobile, airoplane and airhostess was invented and now people pull their own luggage.

Mmmmm, you've identified one of my personal pet travelling hates with pinpoint accuracy. I particualrly enjoy watching my overhead locker space being occupied by one of these little darlings or being sideswiped by one under the control of a complete muppet
... enjoyed your son's line immensely
... Audrey Hepburn came from Belgium
